We are so grateful for our parent volunteers! Your presence, participation, and enthusiasm are what makes these experiences so enriching, memorable, and fun for our Meadow Ponders!
Before volunteering at at The Pond, please do the following:
- Volunteer Application - KLSD requires that all volunteers renew their volunteer application annually in order to volunteer in any of the KLSD schools. Click here to renew yours -- it's very quick.
- Location - go directly to the area where you are offering support and stay in that area.
- Photography - pictures should only be taken if a teacher or Meadow Pond administrator gives you the okay to do so.

Science Fair
First it was Science, then STEM, then STEAM and now STREAM!
What do those letters mean?
Science, Technology, Reading/Writing, Engineering, Art and Math.
Students are no longer constrained to experiment only science projects, like the ones many of us did as kids.
Instead, we are encouraging them to take any interest and turn it into a fun project, report, demonstration or experiment.
Check out our information packet for lots of helpful details and resources for choosing a topic.
Science Fair Information Packet
Still need some help? Please send an email to mpessciencefair@gmail.com with 3 things your child loves or enjoys doing and we will send you back a few project ideas!
If researching, participating and being recognized by the school is not already enough reason to persuade your child to be a scientist, we have a super fun, never before offered chance to win a raffle basket filled with items and experiences that encompass the themes of STREAM. Every child that submits a completed project will get one entry into the raffle which will be drawn at the conclusion of the science fair on Feb 10. Your child must be present at the fair to win.
Does your child want to participate but your schedule is too full to help them? Consider signing them up for our Science Fair ASA (more details coming soon) which will take them through the process of researching, hypothesizing, experimenting, concluding and decorating their science board.
All students Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are eligible to participate in the Science Fair.
Coming Soon... science fair gear will be available for purchase!
All questions pertaining to the science fair should be sent to mpessciencefair@gmail.com.
Let's STREAM Big!
